The People Already Making the Switch
River Cruise Mentor | Leadership Academy
Hotel supervisors, tour guides, pursers and bar managers — training to become River Cruise Managers and Cruise Directors on Europe's rivers.
Every one of them started where you are: a good career in hospitality, a ceiling that will not move, and a question that will not go away — is this really it?
Some arrive with eighteen years on the rivers behind them. Some had never set foot on a ship. They come from Bulgaria, Romania, Portugal, Hungary and Colombia, and they are all training for the same job: River Cruise Manager — the person who leads the guest experience on a European river cruise, called Cruise Director or Program Director depending on the company.

What they have
in common
🎓
They already had the skill
Not one of them needed to start over. Twenty years of hotel operations. Seven seasons on the Douro. A decade of guest service. The experience was always there — what was missing was the language of the river cruise world, and someone to make the introduction.
📖
They trained for the craft
62 lessons across 4 modules. More than 100 interactive tools. Interactive destination training, river by river, with the narration a manager actually says out loud. A live session every Monday. Five days onboard a river cruise ship.
🤝
They are not on their own afterwards
100% support until one year after academy enrollment. Nine private sessions, preparation before each of the first three cruises, and someone to call when a cruise goes sideways at two in the morning. Being hired is not the finish line.

I am Maddy Căldărușe. I have spent 26 years on Europe's rivers, 14 of them training River Cruise Managers — 160+ so far. I will not promise you a job. That would be dishonest. What I will do is tell you straight, in fifteen minutes, whether this path fits you.
The river is waiting.
